Hello. Today, I would like to honestly share a recent delivery experience I had with Kimbap Cheonguk, a well-known Korean snack restaurant chain, from its Yongsan branch in Seoul.

I Ordered Kimbap Through Baedal Minjok in April 2026
Order Information
On the afternoon of April 28, 2026, I placed an order from the Yongsan branch in Seoul through Baedal Minjok, one of Korea’s major food delivery apps.
The menu I ordered was an ordinary Special Set Meal and kimbap.
To be honest, I did not order the extra kimbap because I really wanted it from the beginning.
I added it because I had to meet the minimum order amount.
First Impression After Receiving the Food
The moment I received the delivery and opened the packaging, I honestly did not know what to say.
First of all, the packaging for the Special Set Meal was extremely small.
The portion was disappointing, and the jjolmyeon was already soggy.
The bowl was so small that it was difficult to mix the noodles properly.
The appearance was too disappointing to upload as a photo, so I did not include a picture of it in this post.
The taste was an even bigger problem.
After taking one bite, I honestly felt that I could not continue eating it.
The Most Disappointing Part
The most shocking part was that the inside of the kimbap was almost entirely filled with carrots.
Even though it was just a basic kimbap, this felt more like carrot kimbap than ordinary kimbap.
The amount of rice was so small that it felt like less than half a bowl, and it was difficult to find other ingredients.
Rather than looking like kimbap, it looked closer to a roll filled mostly with carrots.
What made it even more confusing was that this restaurant had a 4.9 rating with 341 reviews on Baedal Minjok.
I could not help wondering what kind of kimbap other customers had received, because what I received felt very different from what the reviews seemed to suggest.

Final Thoughts
Of course, I understand that many small business owners are going through difficult times these days.
I also understand that food ingredient prices have risen a lot.
Even so, I could not help wondering whether the quality should really be this low.
In the past, Kimbap Cheonguk felt like a place where anyone could casually stop by and have a filling meal without much burden.
It was almost like a national snack restaurant in Korea, with the feeling of simple, homemade-style kimbap.
But this experience was enough to break that memory for me.
Personally, I was very disappointed.
I do not think I will use Kimbap Cheonguk again.
Of course, not every branch may be the same.
Still, based on my personal experience, every Kimbap Cheonguk branch I have tried has felt similar.
At least this experience will stay in my memory for a long time.
※ This review is based on my personal opinion from two delivery orders placed at the Yongsan branch in Seoul on April 28, 2026.
Experiences may differ depending on the branch and the time of order.
